In July 2019, LUMCON conducted its first ever two week scientific diving summer camp. Eleven participants completed the non-stop diving 12 day even completing scientific diver training. During that time 3 days were spent in the pool, 1 day on CPR First-aid, another day of emergency scene management and five days of diving. Conditions ranged from zero feet of visibility and ripping currents, to over a hundred feet of visibility in aquarium like conditions 40 miles offshore.
Lots of fish, lots of sharks, and lots of naps between dives. Divers experienced a wide range of dive conditions and methodologies.
